Europe’s most prestigious competition is back for round 2 of the group stages. After a very profitable first round, big opportunities are up for grabs to make some money on Tuesday’s night slate.
We are going to have a look at some of the most striking lines on the market and take some picks early on as some of these lines are certain to shift close to game-time. Let’s take a dive, and double down on everything we learned after week 1.
Early Opportunities
If you are eager to start off with the right foot on matchday 2, we have a couple of early games that are catching our eye. Inter – FC Viktoria Plzen has an appealing line for BTTS, coming in at -125. The Czech Republic side actually managed to score at Camp Nou on the first half, making it 2-1 momentarily, even if they crumbled on the second half (5-1 FT) this was no easy task. Expect the Czechs to make the most of their opportunities at home against Inter Milan, who lost also on their debut versus Bayern Munich (0-2). The second early game is also an intriguing opportunity, Sporting CP – Tottenham. Even though Sporting had a great start in match day 1, taking the victory at Eintracht Frankfurt (0-2), Tottenham got some time off, since Premier League suspended all activity on the weekend. With a full rested squad, the English side can, and will take the victory on the road. Take Tottenham (ML +115).
Bayern vs Barcelona: Game Of The Day
An eagerly awaited game is between old acquaintances with a lot of fire power this season, so expect goals and a lot of adrenaline in a back-and-forth match, that involves two favorites to lift the trophy this season. Of course, all books are already well aware about this exciting match, but we are very confident that both teams will deliver. The over sits at 3.5, but don’t worry. Liverpool in Shambles
Last week we talked about how this Liverpool side has been struggling since the beginning of the season on their domestic league. We followed this trend on UCL’s match-day one and our bet gave us huge winnings with an easy +225 ML pick on Italian side Napoli, who destroyed the “Reds” at home (4-1). This week the English side is facing Ajax at Anfield. We are not expecting a mayor upset, but we have to ride this trend until Klopp’s side show any signs of life. Ajax is a very vertical and attack friendly team. Expect them to create several chances. Take the Dutch side and buy some cover. (Ajax/Draw +140)
