Luis Chavez To Rayados Is Terrible News

It has been reported this morning that Rayados Monterrey is closing in on Mexico’s World Cup sensation Luis Chavez. The Liga MX side already made an opening offer in the past weeks, but its now rumoured that they just put in the table a $7MMD offer which Pachuca is now eager to accept since it’s nearly impossible any other team, domestic or foreign, will match it.

Big Blow For Mexico’s National Team

After Chavez’s brilliant performance at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, everybody surrounding the national team was excited to find out what the future could hold for the Pachuca midfielder, since not only did he was the best player of the tournament for Mexico, his remarkable free-kick goal against Saudi Arabia was nominated as one of the best goals of the World Cup.

European football was thought to be a certainty for the midfielder, since he’s style of play could fit in almost every team that needs an urgent and experienced piece on the middle of the field, but it seems this will not be the case.

If Luis Chavez decides to stay in Mexico, his growth will be limited, and with the sights set on the 2026 World Cup, after a lacklustre performance on Qatar, this is terrible news for the promising talent and Mexico’s National Team.

Rayados Is The Villain

With more of the same, it’s safe to say that Mexican Club Owners are not in the same page as the interest of the National Team, and Rayados is the clear example as to why youth and talent in Mexico has always had limited growth and exposure into international experience.

Rayados has already been involved in weird decisions in the current transfer window, and instead of finding players that they can certainly afford in the South American market, they keep trying to bring in Mexican players who can still develop into international prospects. Such was the case in recent weeks, when former Rayados CB Cesar Montes had to push through a deal to Espanyol, since Monterrey was trying to force him to stay in the club.

Rayados Monterrey is a clear example on how, low-key, Mexican clubs are the one that keep destroying the future of the Mexican National Team, and if the players don’t step up and seek help from the FMF, El ‘Tri’ will be doomed to obtain more disappointment in years to come.
