LaLiga Betting Tips For Matchday 8 – Picks To Look Into

This is going to be our first time betting LaLiga games, and it’s certainly something that we’ve been excited to do. Just hadn’t gotten around to it because we’d been busy looking into other leagues. With the number of games in Liga MX diminishing as the wild card round is set to begin, we had some cash to spare for LaLiga this week.

There are a couple of things that are unique to betting in LaLiga which make it perhaps much harder to bet than any other league. Teams like Real Madrid and Barcelona are virtually always going to be favored even if they’re on the road. Finding a good number with either of those two squads is really tough. Also at this point in the season we do have some questions with some of the middle of the pack teams that are playing European cups. The depth of teams like Real Betis is really going to come into question in the next couple of weeks here. We have outliers like Sevilla who’ve been having a dreadful start to the season. This is a team we probably won’t touch until we can get a better sense for what the team looks like under new manager Jorge Sampaoli.

Atlético Is Not That Big of A Favorite At Home Against Girona

Atlético’s woes in the Champions League are affecting their odds domestically. To be completely honest about this, we’re here for it. Although Atlético is not known to embarrass lower level competition like Real Madrid and Barcelona, they should get past Girona this weekend. They are at home, and the number is currently at -200. All things considered, we feel that this is a good number for an Atlético team that will be looking to bounce back after their Champions League loss.

Like Not Love The Number For Real Betis On The Road

We just talked about this, we do have some concerns about the depth of Real Betis’ squad. They played a great game in the Europa League where they beat a tough José Mourinho led Roma squad. Betis is filled with veteran players, and our main concern is their physical form having to play all these games in quick succession. That +140 number on their win is too much to pass up they’re playing Real Valladolid who are one of the most limited squads in La Liga.

The Real Madrid Number On The Road Is Excellent!

If we were to get really picky we maybe would’ve passed on the -200 number that Real Madrid is getting on the road. Since this is our first La Liga picks article, though, we wanted to make sure people got a sense of the numbers that they can expect to see with the top teams in the Spanish game. You got to make a hefty investment to make bank, and there is that little bit of uncertainty when it comes to the squad that Real Madrid will put on the pitch after their Champions League matchup. Still, we just don’t see Getafe as a major threat at this point.

Bonus Pick: Real Sociedad and Villarreal Tie Things Up In Anoeta

Do you think you’ll be in the mood to watch a highly competitive game between two decent teams in LaLiga on Sunday? If so, this is the game that you want to watch. Villarreal have established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the Spanish game, and Europe for that matter, in the last few seasons. Real Sociedad is also no joke though, and they’re playing at home. Considering all that, we like the +240 odds on the draw!
