One of the most interesting deals in today’s transfer deadline has been the emerging news that Mexican right-back, Julian Araujo is on the verge of completing the move from LA Galaxy to FC Barcelona.
It has been reported that on deadline day LA Galaxy has accepted FC Barcelona’s offer believed to be close to €4M for the acquisition of the Mexican defender, the contract will be valid until June 2026, and the move is now imminent.
The Future Is Bright
Is well known that FC Barcelona has been keeping tabs on Arauajo for some time now, and have finally sealed the move for the dynamic player. The news comes after earlier confirmation of full back Hector Bellerin’s departure from the Blaugrana.
It’s uncertain at the moment if Araujo will automatically join FC Barcelona’s first team, or if he will join Barcelona B before making the leap, which is probably the case, but still makes an exiting move for the Mexican players (21 y/o).
MLS has become a very interesting jumping platform for players, and Araujo is the latest evidence that there is a lot of opportunities for young talent to make the leap to Europe via Mayor League Soccer.
