Once again Liga MX is going to bring us midweek action, it’s the last time that we’ll get regular season midweek action in this tournament. There are going to be games on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Those are the games that we’re going to be taking a look at here to see if we can pick some winners. There are also Friday games in Liga MX, but those are part of the weekend’s slate of games. These mid-week matchups are essentially all of the makeup games that Liga MX had to reschedule for a variety of reasons, so we’re going to group them together in this article.
So far we are 4 for 9 on our picks since we started this series. We were abysmal in Tuesday’s games last week, but bounced back nicely on Wednesday, and Sunday hitting on 66% of the picks. For this midweek special edition, we’re going to be covering every single game that’s going to be taking place, not just the ones that we necessarily feel strongly about. We’re not saying this to try and make excuses out of the gate! There are actually very interesting numbers for these upcoming games that we really like. Our advice would be to make the picks early to get the best odds!
A Draw For Chivas & Tigres
Chivas are coming into this game after 3 very decent outings. The team is still having trouble scoring goals. They’ve had to rely on Alexis Vega, and Roberto Alvarado to find the back of the net. Tigres on the other hand is not coming into the matchup with good outings in their previous games. Still, they are the best competition that Chivas has faced in a while. With that in mind, and because we like the +210 number we think that these two teams will play to a draw.
Club America & Santos Will Also Play To A Draw
Yes, we know we’ve bet against Club America ending their streak before. It hasn’t happened yet, and we thought for sure they would draw at least one of their last 3 games. This game against Santos seems like another chance for the streak to end. We don’t love the fact that Santos is coming off a draw with Queretaro who is the worst team in the league. However, we do like +320 numbers on the draw. That’s why we are picking Club America’s streak to come to an end.
Pachuca Over Juarez
This is the safest pick that you can make out of the games that will be played in the middle of the week. Pachuca is coming off of potentially their best game of the year, a 6-1 win against Tijuana. Juarez keep playing themselves out of games, being more concerned about the refs than anything else. We love the +115 odds that Pachuca are getting even as an away team. Juarez has been more or less competitive throughout their last couple of games, but this is by far the toughest game out of the bunch that they’ve had in a while.
Cruz Azul Gets Passed Leon
The final game that we’re going to talk about is Leon’s matchup against Cruz Azul. This game has heavy playoff implications. Whoever wins this game is going to take a major step towards the playoffs. Both teams have been incredibly inconsistent throughout the whole tournament, and Leon are coming off one of their best wins of the year against Tigres. Still, we feel that Cruz Azul is going to play with more urgency, and they are getting favorable odds at home. Cruz Azul’s win is set at +125. We love that number!
