Best Picks For The Final Weekend of Liga MX Games

Club America finished off the season with a win over Puebla, and Juarez was able to beat Pumas in Friday’s games. The Juarez win certainly spices things up at the bottom of the table to see which teams are going to make the wild card round of the playoffs. We can’t wait until our playoff picks come out. Those are going to matter a lot, and the odds could get really tight. That could mean they’ll be money to be made.

The last week of the season has at least 2 very interesting matchups. We’ve talked about the Cruz Azul vs Chivas game already. With Puebla’s loss that means Cruz Azul seemingly has a lot more to play for, and therefore things could get interesting. The other game to watch is certainly the Pachuca versus Rayados matchup. Our issue with that game though is that there won’t be a lot at stake for both teams so that could be a boring draw, or even an unexpected result that comes about because one of the teams just decided to rest all of their starters for the playoffs. By the way, starters resting is certainly a variable that we’re going to be taking into account for these final week picks!

Tigres Over San Luis Is A Great Number

Does The Win Against Chivas Make Tigres A Title Contender Once Again

San Luis is going to be playing for their lives, and Tigres doesn’t have a lot to play for. However, Tigres have looked shaky in their last outings. Other than their 4-1 rout of Chivas the team isn’t looking great heading into the playoffs. Plus, it’s looking like they are going to be playing the wild card round, so they need to find a spark for that. We really like the +120 odds that Tigres are getting on the road at San Luis, and that’s why we’re picking them.

Pachuca & Monterrey Draw

This is going to be a hard game to predict, and we’re certainly going to be heartbroken if any team takes the win. The way that we see it though, neither team is playing for a lot. Pachuca is traditionally more intense as Memo Almada’s teams tend to be. We almost veered in that direction, but we really like the +240 odds on the draw.

Necaxa’s Win Over Atlas Seems Like A Perfect Opportunity To Win Big

Our lock of the week is Necaxa beating Atlas. The only thing that scares us is that Jimmy Lozano, Necaxa’s manager, has played overly safe the last few weeks. He needs to win to stay in though, so we like his team’s +187 odds against an Atlas team that has mailed it in. Diego Cocca is gone, and at this point it doesn’t seem like Atlas players are even interested in showing up to play the game.

If You Want To Swing Big Take Mazatlan

We’re going from our lock of the week to what is potentially our biggest swing of the week. If you have some change lying around, and you want to bet on a good number with a reasonable chance to win this could be it. A win for Mazatlan is paying at +350. Santos could be coming into the game with nothing to play for and resting starters. Mazatlan will have all to play for, we’re hoping Mazatlan’s fighting spirit can help them pull through.

Draw In Leon Versus Tijuana

There’s a chance that Tijuana can come into the game completely eliminated. Whoever scheduled these games for the last week should be fired on the spot. We could be getting two meaningless games back to back on Sunday. If Tijuana is still in it by the time they take the field on Sunday this can be a highly entertaining game. Since we think they’ll be out of it though, the game might be boring and end in a draw. That outcome pays +275!
