The third place game at the World Cup is a lot of times the least tense of the World Cup matches. That actually benefits the game quite a lot. Since both teams come into the game without a ton of pressure we often see some of the best games at the tournament in these third place matchups. At least when it comes to goal scored and things of that nature.
For this tournament’s game we definitely don’t expect to see Morocco playing as intense in the midfield or as far back as they played versus Spain and Portugal. That’s going to allow fans to catch a glimpse of the real talent that a lot of these players have. Some of the most talented Morocco players haven’t really been able to showcase their talent because they were asked to think defense first throughout the whole tournament. The light hearted atmosphere that contrasts with the tension that we’ll likely see on Sunday in the final makes for a fun watch and plenty of chances to win big on bets!
Positive Odds On A Croatia Win
The first thing that we like is an outright Croatia win. We say this trying to be as respectful to Morocco as can be. In fact, we’re excited to see Morocco play a lot looser than they did in the last couple of games. The problem is, collectively they just seem like they are the more tired team. Their captain had to leave the game against France in basically the first 15 to 20 minutes of the game due to an injury. With the amount of miles that Morocco players have racked up on their bodies it seems unfair to ask them to gear up again. Particularly since this game really doesn’t mean all that much.
Croatia also had to go the distance with both Japan and Brazil. So they could also be quite tired at this point in the tournament. The team though was out of it in their game against Argentina rather early. So they maybe didn’t put in as much of an effort in the last game as Morocco did. With this in mind we do get the sense that Croatia is going to be a bit more fresh. Hence, why we pick them to win this game. Croatia +137 winning in 90 minutes

In spite of the fact that we expect Croatia to win it’s likely that Morocco will find the back of the net. There have been 19 third place games played at the World Cup. In 13 of those games both teams have scored. We’re coming off a bad streak for this bet with both of the previous third place games featuring a team that goes scoreless. On Saturday though, we do get the sense that there are going to be goals from both sides. Hoping For An Ivan Perišić Goal
This is by no means the safest bet out there for Saturday’s game. Ultimately we like the odds on Perisic, and to be honest he’s been a bit of a let-down in this tournament.
