Arsenal Keeps Proving Doubters Wrong

It was all celebrations on Sunday at Emirates Stadium as the full time whistle blew making the final score Arsenal 3-2 Liverpool. The euphoric win couldn’t have made a bigger statement for this young team, as there are still many doubters who don’t believe this team has what it takes to make a title run.

One of the main characters in Sunday’s win was Spanish manager Mikel Arteta, the former Arsenal midfielder was seen every minute of the game yelling, directing, and encouraging his team until the end, there is no doubt that the team is truly convinced Arteta is the man to lead them, and each match you can see him very invested in this squad, and subsequently this has been transmitted to the crowd, you can feel and breathe a totally new atmosphere at the stadium, one that hasn’t been felt in years, as fan are starting to ‘dream’ again under Mikel’s guidance.

One of the main statements Arsenal can provide as proof they can make a title run, is having faced already three of the ‘Top Six’ teams, and their current table position is by no means a causality. The ‘Gunners’ have obtained convincing victories against Liverpool (3-2), and rivals Tottenham (3-1). The only defeat of the season came on their away visit to Manchester United (3-1), a match Arsenal did not play poorly, but they were finished off in the counter attack, nevertheless that frustrating loss seemed too have ignited a fire in the young squad.

Arsenal have not face their toughest test yet, since both Liverpool and Tottenham victories were played in North London, but it’s a very good start, and as of now they can enjoy being top of the league, something they certainly did not expect at the start of the season.

City Is Looming

It’s no secret that as the season unfolds everybody wants to see Arsenal face Manchester City, the ‘only’ real candidate to the title. The ‘Citizens’ have ridiculous numbers all thanks to goal-record breaking Erling Haaland, who has been unbelievable.

Their initial matchup against Arsenal was scheduled back in August, but the game was postponed by Queen’s Elizabeth II Funeral in London. No new date has been set yet for the match but it’s certainly one we will mark in our calendars.

Arsenal travel to Leeds this week as they try to earn as many points as they can before the World Cup break in November. Manchester City on the other hand will face a tough test when they travel to Anfield on the weekend.

Can Arsenal keep holding on to the top spot? For how long? The squad certainly feels like the impossible is possible and there is no better man to lead this team than Mikel Arteta.
